Guild Festival Theatre is delighted to announce the return of Theatre in Transit, a free immersive theatrical experience that transforms the journey to Guild Park & Gardens into the first act of the show.

Running on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from July 17 to August 23, Theatre in Transit offers Guild Festival Theatre's patrons complimentary transportation from local transit hubs to the iconic Greek Theatre at Guild Park & Gardens, while immersing them in a live, interactive performance inspired by that evening's production.

This season, audiences attending Brontë: The World Without and Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey can begin their theatrical experience before arriving at the park. Along the way, the bus becomes a stage, inviting riders into a world of mystery, storytelling, and unexpected encounters.

Included free with the purchase of a Mainstage ticket, Theatre in Transit offers audiences an accessible and engaging way to travel to the park while deepening their connection to the stories on stage.

Each performance of Theatre in Transit is an immersive production designed to introduce audiences to the world of the play they are on their way to see. There are puzzles to solve, clues to uncover, and a host with an agenda of their own.

The Brontë Bus

This summer, step aboard for a theatrical mystery where the story is still unwritten. A renowned publisher has received an anonymous poem and a cryptic message about the true identities of the elusive Bell brothers behind such literary gems as Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights. Follow clues, uncover hidden identities, and help reveal the mystery behind the authors and their rumoured unpublished new work.

Navigating to Northanger

Welcome to Bath, where romance, reputation, and gossip rule the season. Join the city’s most talked-about matchmaker as they attempt to pair every guest with their perfect partner. But not everyone is what they seem. Uncover secrets, follow clues, and discover unexpected connections in this immersive theatrical journey filled with romance, mystery, and scandal.

How It Works:

Theatre in Transit is available to Guild Festival Theatre ticket holders attending performances between July 17 and August 23.

Patrons must reserve a Theatre in Transit seat when purchasing tickets for a Mainstage performance. Space is limited and advance reservations are required.

Pickup Locations:

 • Kennedy TTC Station

 • Guildwood GO Station (Westlake Road Parking Lot)

 • East Scarborough Storefront (4040 Lawrence Ave E)

Following the performance, shuttles return patrons to their original pickup location.
