Minneapolis Musical Theatre will present The Story Of My Life, featuring a book by Brian Hill with music and lyrics by Neil Bartram, beginning March 9, 2012, at the Illusion Theater.
Directed by Christine Karki, the limited engagement will continue through March 25.
MMT co-founders Steven Meerdink and Kevin Hansen will reunite on stage for the first time in six years, playing Alvin Kelby and Thomas Weaver, respectively.
The Story Of My Life, according to MMT, is "the touching and often humorous story of two childhood friends and how their relationship profoundly defined their lives. Thomas Weaver is a best-selling, award-winning author. Alvin Kelby was his best friend for thirty years. But time can test the bonds of friendship, and when it does, Thomas calls on the only resource he has - his stories of Alvin - to learn where things went wrong."
Other members of the creative team include musical director Lori Maxwell, scenic designer Darren Hensel, lighting designer Grant Merges, sound designer Lucas Melchior, rehearsal accompanist Matthew Bear
and stage manager Joyce Norman.
The Illusion Theater is located at 528 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, MN. For more information and tickets, visit www.aboutmmt.org or www.illusiontheater.org.
