TORONTO, ON (Jan. 26, 2012) – From March 12 to 16, Harbourfront Centre offers kids aged 3-15 a jam-packed week of discovery, learning and creativity with March Break Camps. There are 17 unique camps to choose from, perfect for first-time campers to fashionistas, budding photographers, future iron chefs, upcoming actors and aspiring circus performers, including Fashion Accessories, a brand new camp for 2012.
NEW CAMPS AND RETURNING FAVOURITES:
Fashion Accessories
Ages 8-12
Working with highly skilled staff, young fashionistas learn how to bring some pizzazz to their wardrobes. Campers work on projects such as bracelets, necklaces, bags, fascinators and more!
Circus
Ages 7-13
The magic of the circus! Circus camp includes juggling, acrobatics and clowning. Equipment is specifically designed with youth and safety in mind. Circus professionals work with camp counsellors to maximize safety.
Junior Baker’s Dozen
Ages 6-8
In partnership with Liaison College of Culinary Arts, young bakers learn to make yummy baked goods with the guidance of a professional chef instructor. They also learn the process of making tasty treats from the beginning to the end while getting little fingers nice and sticky!
Camp Quest
Ages 9-11
For campers who want more than the traditional day camp experience. Campers participate in a wide variety of hands-on and interactive games, activities and projects that focus on skill development and leadership. Activities include active games, environmental crafts, science experiments, cooperative games, problem solving and initiative tasks.
Comic Book Camp
Ages 8-12
Calling all comic and graphic novel enthusiasts! Working with guest illustrators and writers, campers learn how to bring their characters to life. Concepts are explored that help inspire and bring the campers’ imaginations to the page of their very own comic books.
TheatreKids
Ages 8-12
TheatreKids explores the world of theatre in a relaxed, supportive, hands-on environment. Working together with the director, campers learn aspects of performance and theatre production while rehearsing and preparing for their own show, to be presented to family members and friends at the end of the session. No agents or casting calls necessary—just lots of fun!

Harbourfront Centre March Break Camps run from March 12-16, 2012 and are priced at $230-$335. Harbourfront Centre offers a hot and nutritious meal in conjunction with The Lunch Lady for an additional $42 for the week (HST included).
