Mary Walsh unleashes her rage to do battle on a grand scale. Mary will navigate the rage brought on by pop culture, politics and capitalism. By incorporating current events into every show, Dancing with Rage will be fresh, exciting and always up to the minute.
In Dancing With Rage, a woman who starts to go blind, finally starts to see. A mother who travels across the country to find her lost child, rediscovers the child she has always had. A little girl who is constantly searching for her place in the world, finds that she’s already there. Dancing with Rage follows all these stories while summoning the help of some familiar faces- Marg Delahuntey, a Warrior Princess, Dakey Dunn, Miss Eulalia Turpin, Mom Reardon, Connie Bloor and many more, new and constantly emerging characters.
The through-line for this season has been Artistic Director Andy McKim’s desire for Theatre Passe Muraille to represent the larger Canadian community, while still remaining true to its gritty Queen West roots.
It doesn’t get grittier or more politically relevant than Canadian Comedy Powerhouse Mary Walsh. Mary is kicking off the TPM Winter/Spring Season with her return to the TPM stage, after over three decades, in Dancing With Rage. Mary stormed onto the TPM stage with CODCO at the beginning of her career and TPM is thrilled to have her back.
