Mythology will be turned on its head when Orpheus, a pop-rock comedic spin on the classic myth, is given its world premiere from March 7th - 10th in the Studio at Theatre Aquarius.
Written by Ryan M. Sero, with an original score by Aaron Joel Craig, Orpheus utilizes prevailing pop cultural tastes and comedic sensibilities in an effort to speak to a contemporary audience. Developed as part of Theatre Aquarius' new works initiatives, the script is a hybrid of traditional theatre, sketch and musical.
Orpheus stars Simon Fallon, Kaitlyn McGee, Jessica Watson, Tyler Brent, Kevin Ritchie, Harmonie Tower, Ryan M. Sero, Aaron Joel Craig and Steve Siemens. Direction is provided by Luke Brown. Orpheus is co-produced by Make.Art.Theatre and Uses for Gooses.
Orpheus will play the Studio Theatre at Theatre Aquarius from March 7, 8, 9 & 10th at 8:00 PM.
