Stage Door News
This elegiac, provocative show juxtaposes shorter plays of Samuel Beckett with contemporary classical music from outstanding Irish composers inspired by Beckett’s appreciation for the absurd. This music will include works by noted Irish composers Gerald Barry and Andrew Hamilton. Featured plays include Act Without Words II, Come and Go, Play, and Ohio Impromptu. This new production reunites renowned Canadian Beckett director Jennifer Tarver with Dáirine Ní Mheadhra and John Hess (music direction), and showcases a dynamic Canadian cast comprised of actors Laura Condlln, Michal Grzejszczak, Tom Rooney, and Sofia Tomic, who will share the stage with soprano Shannon Mercer and trumpet player Michael Fedyshyn. Queen of Puddings bring their signature contemporary twist to this invigorating evening of music, theatre, and Irish madness.
Act Without Words II, Come and Go, Play, and Ohio Impromptu are presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
