Toronto: The transformation of Cirque Du Soleil performer and Celine Dion dancer to performer generated theater artist is mirrored in this dark, comic and at times grotesque fable about our modern obsession with image. The exquisite movement skills of Lafond juxtapose with the world of distortion and manipulation accentuating LITTLE LADY’s tormented and blissful metamorphosis.
The reason why i created this show:
What I am about to do in front of you is what I always said I wouldn’t do:
Have my own company and create a show!
What has changed? In 2011 for the first time in my career I lost my job. It took me a while to come back from that lost, I know it was just a job but it meant more to me, a place in our society, a way to define myself. After a few month of haze I woke up and asked myself: What is my dream? The answer was simple, create a character, be myself entirely and go on tour. Little Lady was born and I had the chance to win the CAFF lottery so I will be touring in 10 cities for a total of 60 shows this year!
What is your dream?
