KiS Productions is a fledgling theatre company started by non-fledgling actors,
Kevin Procter and Steven B. Andrews.
Steven and Kevin met in an elevator in 2011; as Steven was reading through a
script, and Kevin was inquisitive. This was a catalyst to the duo performing
together in a 2014 production of “A Christmas Carol”, in Brantford. The two had
such strong stage energy together, they decided to look for a show with just the
two of them.
Along came Peter Cook, from Seattle (with ties to Brantford), with an incredible
two-actor script, “Mr. Nep?”, and the rest is, as they say, history! First stop for
Mr. Nep was the Left of Centre festival in Brantford, which gave rise to the
beginning of KiS Productions, which is now part of this year’s Toronto Fringe
Festival.
Kevin and Steven intend to put funds from their Toronto Fringe experience toward further developing KiS Productions; as well, there is discussion of starting a theatre recognition and awards company to propagate, promote and nurture a
strong theatre community in and around Brant County.
