Fratwurst Comedy presents: Dan's Inferno, the story of a young man who wasted his life on Earth. After an abrupt death and a journey through heaven, hell and everything in between, our hero finds in the afterlife what eluded him in his beforelife: purpose. He encounters friends and enemies, recruits the help of Billy Joel and is guided by the wisdom of a talking toilet name Wizor. Dan's Inferno is based on Dante Alighieri's classic poem, though loosely, as Billy Joel was not featured in that epic work.
Seven years of innovative sketch writing and teamwork have propelled Fratwurst to realize their greatest feat of hilarity: Dan's Inferno. After a resoundingly successful run of their 2014 "Choose Your Own Adventure," sketch show, You Detective (Toronto Fringe Festival), and regular festival dates in New York, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, Fratwurst has decided to break from sketch comedy to focus on the world of theatre by crafting their first original play.
Joining them on stage are seasoned sketch comedian/actors, Natalie Metcalfe (CBC-True Dating Stories) and Lance Byrd (The Weaker Vessels), celebrated Shakespearean actress, Peyton LeBarr, (Twelfe Night- Ale House Theatre), and actor/musician Chris Murray (Chaisse Gallerie-Red One Collective.) This eclectic mix of serious and silly meshes well on and off the stage.
