After thousands of auditions across the country and 16 episodes of CBC TV's Over The Rainbow, the Canadian public has chosen the young woman who will be "Dorothy" in Andrew Lloyd Webber's new production of THE WIZARD OF OZ - Danielle! It's been a very long journey but a very exciting one. Rehearsals begin on November 13th and the first performance will be on December 20th. The public has chosen well and we look forward to a sparkling new production with a star-making turn from a thrilling new talent.
Danielle Wade (20) is from La Salle, Ontario and recently completed her second year at the University of Windsor, where she studies acting. She has over 10 years of vocal training and recently played Elle Woods in Legally Blonde - The Musical, Cinderella in Into The Woods and was part of the cast in Carner & Gregor's Barely Legal Showtune Extravaganza in New York City.
