Buddies is very excited to announce a free panel discussion following the PWYC matinee of BLISS on Sunday April 1.
Using the play's investigation of celebrity as a springboard, panelists will discuss ideas of celebrity fixation and the role of the media in our insatiable appetite for the private lives of others.
On stage will be Carl Wilson, music critic and author of Let’s Talk About Love: A Journey to the End of Taste, which chronicles his journey to become a Celine Dion fan; Chris Richardson, author of the upcoming Covering Canadian Crimes: What Journalists Should Know and the Public Should Question; and celebrity culture specialist Jessica Whitehead.
The discussion begins at approximately 4pm, following the matinee performance. This promises to be a great afternoon, we hope you will join us as we explore the themes of this internationally acclaimed play.
