Toronto, ON – Matthew Jocelyn, Artistic & General Director, and Su Hutchinson, Managing Director, today announced that established theatre technician Vladimir Vukovic will join Canadian Stage as the Director of Production in a full time capacity on May 28, 2012.
“Vladimir is an exceptionally talented theatre technician, leader, and director of production,” said Hutchinson. “His vast experience working with major opera and theatre companies across Canada and the United States makes him ideally suited to lead the Canadian Stage production team as we continue to present multidisciplinary and contemporary work from around the world. His fresh perspective, extensive experience, enthusiasm, commitment, and drive will be a welcome addition to our senior management team and we look forward to collaborating with Vlad as we prepare for our 25th anniversary season.”
Vukovic has played a vital role with noted arts organizations in Toronto and beyond, including the Canadian Opera Company, Soulpepper Theatre and the Young Centre, the Michigan Opera Theatre, Detroit Opera House, and the Florida Grand Opera. His many roles have enabled him to develop skills for every facet of theatre and dance production, including backstage operations, facilities management, technical direction, and more.
