Toronto, ON - June 5, 2012: Albert Schultz, Founding Artistic Director of Soulpepper Theatre Company and General Director of the Young Centre for the Performing Arts is proud to recognize today's announcement of the 2012 Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations for Soulpepper, and to celebrate Leslie Lester, Executive Director of Soulpepper and Managing Director of the Young Centre, winner of the 2012 Leonard McHardy and John Harvey Award for Outstanding Leadership in Arts Administration.
With a career spanning more than 25 years in Toronto arts, and involvement with over 200 productions, Leslie received the Leonard McHardy and John Harvey Award for her outstanding contribution to the arts, including her work over the past decade with Soulpepper and the Young Centre.
In the General Theatre Production Division, four Soulpepper productions were honoured with a total of seven Dora nominations, including Outstanding New Play for Kim's Convenience, on stage now at the Young Centre until July 4.
The 33rd Dora Mavor Moore Awards, presented by the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts, will be awarded on June 25 at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts in the Bluma Appel Theatre and hosted by Thom Allison.

Outstanding New Play: Ins Choi, Kim's Convenience
Outstanding Performance by a Male in a Principal Role: Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Kim's Convenience
Outstanding Performance by a Female in a Principal Role: Michaela Washburn, White Biting Dog
Outstanding Performance in a Featured Role/Ensemble: Fiona Reid, White Biting Dog;
Jeff Lillico, The Glass Menagerie
Outstanding Set Design: Ken MacDonald, Ghosts
Outstanding Lighting Design: Alan Brodie, Ghosts
