Auditions will be held at the Village Playhouse, 2190 Bloor Street West, at the following times:
Tuesday, August 28, 7:00 – 10:00 pm
Thursday, August 30, 7:00 – 10:00 pm
Call Backs: Tuesday, September 4 at 7:00 pm
Cast:
Sally Driscoll (30-45) – upper middle class, attractive, leads a comfortable life. Will appear in swimsuit/bikini
Mark Driscoll (35-50) – upper middle class, good-looking, outgoing, confident businessman.
John Barrett (30-50) – lower middle class, not conventionally good-looking. Initially appears mild, ordinary and pedantic. Could be taken for a roofing salesman or similar.
English accents are required. Ideally John would be able to do “Estuary.” As this is a three-hander, with the whole cast on stage 99% of the time, rehearsals, which will start in early September, will be intensive.
Please prepare a short (2 minutes) monologue and be prepared to read from the script. Please bring a résumé and headshot – a photocopy will do. You should read the play before auditioning. The play is on reserve at the Performing Arts Desk, 5th floor, Toronto Reference Library, 789 Yonge Street.
