Many people consider Walt Wingfield to be a ‘Canadian Institution’.
WINGFIELD LOST & FOUND is the seventh and most recent in the series of comedies about a stockbroker who leaves the city rat race to lead simpler life. Through his many hilarious misadventures, Walt learns volumes from the wisdom, honesty and loving support of his new community.
In this installment, Persephone Township faces the worst drought it has seen in ages. Now married with a baby daughter, Walt struggles with the challenges of saving his crop while balancing his ecological footprint for future generations.
The equilibrium of things lost is restored with the things found, which gives this play an optimistic view of the future of mankind.
One of the most versatile and respected actors in Canadian theatre, Rod Beattie is the ‘one and only’ Wingfield. He transforms into multiple characters before your very eyes, performing male, female and animal roles through an eccentric cast of 20 neighbours, relatives and friends.
