Toronto, January 14, 2013 – Théâtre français de Toronto (TfT) is proud to present Les Zinspirés by young French school students from Toronto. This series of short stories set in the GTA will be presented at Berkeley Street Theatre, on February 13 only.
From a contest in the classroom to A PROFESSIONAL SHOW, IN TORONTO: Les Zinspirés, take: 1 competition in high schools, 184 participating students, 86 written stories, 16 reworked stories, 5 selected stories, 4 professional coaches, 7 professional Franco-Ontarian actors, 1 show mounted and performed at the Berkeley Street Theatre.

Je suis enceinte à cause de Facebook (Facebook made me pregnant) by Stéphanie Grandeur, Étienne-Brûlé Secondary School: Incredibly, an old lady has just given up her seat on the jam-packed morning bus to Isabelle, but everything is made clear when the old lady asks Isabelle how far along she is… in her pregnancy.
Un Long chemin vers le bas (A long way down) by Paul Bardea, Upper Canada College: Stuck protecting a little brother from a depressed, drunk father, who is beating him, Paul is forced to choose whether to stay or go. But at what price?
Poulet popcorn, zombies et hélicoptères (Popcorn chicken, zombies, and choppers) by Julien Mandell, Étienne-Brûlé Secondary School: Zombies have invaded the city of Toronto. Helicopters attempt to stave off the invasion but nothing is working anymore. Even the CN Tower is no longer secure.
