The Origins
What initially started off as a written rant, an attempt to vent frustrations revolving around the topics of love, relationships, and the dating game, has turned into a comedic and parodied view of the same subject matter. Complete with an original and eclectic pop-influenced soundtrack, Lovelash examines the stereotypes, clichés, and fallacies associated with the Romantic Comedy Genre, as well as commenting on how modern media skews our perspective on everything relating to love.
The Synopsis
Carter is a typical guy who just got dumped by his girlfriend of five years. Desperate to seek solace from his most recent case of Lovelash, Carter seeks help from his friends Trey, Dan, and Nat. Unfortunately, his friends don’t fare that much better: Trey’s arrogance and infidelity, Dan’s over-sensitive and over-chivalrous attitude, and Nat’s Timidity and cluelessness, sends this group of friends through an abyss of uncertainty, ridiculousness, and bitter exes. However, the forces of good prevails, and together, they overcome their own cases of Lovelash through song, dance, and comedy.
