This season we can't wait to introduce you to two internationally acclaimed plays and Toronto’s newest theatre space. With Yasmina Reza’s hit comedy God of Carnage, we are pleased to return to the OFF-MIRVISH subscription series at the Panasonic Theatre (following last season’s smash hit Clybourne Park). And in the spring, we’ll bring you the Canadian premiere of Mike Bartlett’s comedic drama Cock – launching Studio 180’s innovative five-year partnership with The Theatre Centre in their brand new home. Tickets are on sale now!

Benjamin and Henry have had a fight.
Their parents are meeting for a civil discussion of the incident.
At least that’s the plan.
Tensions flare, and the gloves come off in this hilarious, Tony award–winning comedy that strikes at the heart of bourgeois civility and reveals the savagery beneath polite society’s polished facade.
Studio 180 is proud to present this internationally acclaimed comedy at the Panasonic Theatre, as part of Mirvish Productions’ 50th Anniversary season (OFF-MIRVISH: The Second Stage Series).
God of Carnage has enjoyed tremendous success in productions around the world. Christopher Hampton’s translation (Yasmina Reza’s original is in French) won the 2009 Olivier Award for Best Comedy in the UK and the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play on Broadway, where it became the longest running comedy of the 2000s.
Studio 180’s production will mark the Toronto English-language premiere of this internationally acclaimed work, and our second year of participation in Mirvish’s exciting OFF-MIRVISH series (which we helped launch last season with our 2013 production of Clybourne Park).
“A study in the tension between civilized surface and savage instinct.”

John has broken up with his boyfriend.
John has fallen in love again… with a woman.
John is confused.
Mike Bartlett’s punchy comedic drama puts you ringside as John wages war with his lovers, himself and a society that demands an answer to the question, “Who am I?”
Studio 180 is proud to present the Canadian premiere of Cock, introducing Toronto audiences to acclaimed playwright Mike Bartlett and the new home of The Theatre Centre.
“A smart, prickly and rewarding view of sexual and emotional confusion.”
EVENING STANDARD
In 2009, Cock premiered at the Royal Court, winning a 2010 Olivier Award. In 2012, it received its acclaimed North American premiere at the Duke in New York.
Mike Bartlett is a highly prolific and successful playwright in the UK, and Cock will be the first of his works to be produced in Canada.
The Theatre Centre is transforming the historic Carnegie Library at 1115 Queen St. West into a 21st century live arts hub and incubator, and a permanent home for the company. Join Studio 180 in discovering this new space.
