Rob McClure, a Tony nominee for his performance in Chaplin, will co-star in the Delaware Theatre Company's upcoming production of the two-person musical The Story of My Life.
McClure will play the role of Alvin with Ben Dibble as Tom. Performances are scheduled for Dec. 4-22; opening night is Dec. 7.
The Story of My Life, according to press notes, "presents a tale of two friends who couldn't imagine life without each other - until one of them could and the once inseparable pair separate. Through the rich melodies of this heartwarming musical, the audience accompanies these two friends through their adventures, struggles, and discovery that love is what binds us together."
"I've never been part of a show where so many people approach me and exclaim that this show has changed their life. And frankly, it has changed my life as well," said Bud Martin, executive director of DTC, in a statement. Martin will direct this production.
The musical was penned by Canadians, composer-lyricist Neil Bartram and librettist Brian Hill.
Single tickets range from $35-$50 and are on sale now by calling the Delaware Theatre Company Box Office at (302) 594-1100, online at delawaretheatre.org, or by visiting the Box Office at 200 Water Street, Wilmington, DE.
