From the same creative team behind Bad Dog Theatre's hit show Hogtown Empire, comes Zombie Toronto, an improvised zombie apocalypse. Based on the acclaimed works of George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead), Max Brooks (The Zombie Survival Guide) the much-loved graphic novel turned hit TV series, The Walking Dead), the cast and crew of Zombie Toronto promises to create a completely original and unscripted take on Toronto and zombies.
Each week an all-star cast of improvisers including Mark Little (Picnicface, 1st prize in Yuk Yuk's Great Canadian Laugh Off), Hannah Spear (Sexy Nerd Girl, Versus Valerie), Dan Beirne (The Bitter End, Dad Drives), Kirsten Rasmussen (Rapid Fire, The Sketchersons) will use the survival plans provided by the audience to help guide each other through a zombie apocalypse. “It’s intense, scary and hilarious” says the shows creator and director Peter Stevens.
Directed by acclaimed writer, director and performer Peter Stevens (CBC’s The Irrelevant Show), Zombie Toronto encourages audience members to participate and inform the survivors’ journey as they battle the ultimate Toronto zombie apocalypse, deciding who will live and who will die!
