Hamburg-born Jörn Weisbrodt talks about our co-presentation at this year’s Luminato Festival, his own performing arts background, the German theatre scene, and Luminato's performing arts program. German-British art collective Gob Squad will set out into Toronto’s streets, bringing their famous performance "Super Night Shot" to Canada for the first time on June 20 and 22 at David Pecaut Square.

3 actors, 2 texts, 1 question: Is the world coming to an end?
We invited one of Canada'a most inquisitive theatre makers to investigate excerpts from two texts, one Canadian, one Swiss-German, one drama, one episodic novel, and relate them to each other in a 1-night double bill. Player One, by Douglas Coupland, is a real-time five-hour story set in an airport cocktail lounge during a global disaster. A tragic love triangle, greed and the relentless search for money and power come together in celebrated Swiss playwright Lukas Bärfuss' drama Oil.
