Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON (January 31, 2014) — The Shaw Festival today announced the appointment of four new members to its bi-national Board of Governors at its Annual General Meeting.
Chair Andrew M. Pringle welcomed new members:
· Alberta G. Cefis, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Transaction Banking (GTB), Scotiabank, Toronto, ON;
· Sandy Delamere, Vice President, Human Resources, Sun Life Financial, Waterloo, ON;
· Laurence A. (Larry) Levite, C.E.O., Buffalo Spree Publishing, Inc., Buffalo, N.Y.; and
· Marylee C. O’Neill, Managing Partner, Intersect International Ltd., Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON.
The newly elected board members will join the 27-member Board of Governors, whose role is to further the well-being of The Shaw by developing its strategic direction, providing management oversight and ensuring the company has the necessary resources to fulfill its mission.
Mr. Pringle also acknowledged and thanked retiring board members Hazel C. Claxton, Treasurer; Jay A. Forbes, Charles T. Richard and Ellen Rose for their valued contributions and generous support during their tenure.
The Shaw Festival’s 2014 season begins April 4 with Bernard Shaw’s Arms and the Man and continues until October 26.
