OTTAWA (Canada) – In honour of Oscar Wilde’s 160th Birthday and to promote the upcoming production of his most well known work, The Importance of Being Earnest, the NAC English Theatre, joined by Alex McCooeye and Amy Matysio of the 2014-15 Ensemble, will hold a birthday celebration outside the NAC Fourth Stage on Thursday, October 16.
During the celebration, cake and a special ticket offer will be made available to the public
Media will be invited to cover the celebration, which will include a nine- foot blow up cake and special 45” x 60” black board for people to write their best wishes to Oscar.
WHAT: Celebration for Oscar Wilde’s 160th Birthday.
WHEN: Thursday, October 16, 2014, set up at 11:50 am - birthday celebration begins at 12 noon. There will be blowing out of birthday candles at 12:05 by Mr McCooeye and Ms Matysio
