Play in a Pub: William Shakespeare’s THE EMPIRE STRIKETH BACK continues Driftwood’s new tradition of bringing unique interpretations of Shakespeare into the informal setting of the corner pub, where the audience can enjoy the reading over a pint.
William Shakespeare’s The Empire Striketh Back (Quirk Books) by Ian Doescher imagines what The Empire Strikes Back would be like if it had been written by William Shakespeare. The book is a crafty and witty reimagining, using all the tricks up Mr. Doescher’s and Mr. Shakespeare’s sleeves to continue the tale of a rebel group’s valiant effort to topple a tyrannical empire.
