Ruben Holloway, newly elected Prime Minister of Canada is about to celebrate his election by spending a weekend at the luxurious Château Laurier with his favourite call girl, Lola, over the objections of his long suffering Chief of Staff, Perkins. Things get complicated when Stephanie Rivers, the leader of the Opposition shows up unexpectedly at the hotel suite.
The Parliamentarians is a play by Phil Rickaby, which examines modern politics, truth (and truthiness) and sexual politics, through the lens of a classic farce setting.
Featuring Scott Clarkson as Ruben Holloway, Richard Beaune as Perkins, Siobhan Richardson as Rivers, Rebecca Rodley as Lola, and Adrianna Prosser as Vera Holloway. The Parliamentarians runs May 28 - June 1 at the Red Sandcastle Theatre (922 Queen Street East, Toronto).
Performances May 28 - 31 at 8pm, Sunday June 1 at 2pm.
