Mag Ruffman will make her debut at Theatre Collingwood in the upcoming production of Queen Milli of Galt which runs from May 27th-31st. Ruffman will play mother to the feisty Millicent Milroy.
Mag Ruffman is a Canadian actress born in Richmond Hill, Ontario who began her acting career in musical theatre upon graduating from the University of Toronto. At only 22 she starred in a one-woman show at the Charlottetown Festival and a year later won the DuMaurier Search for Stars. Her long lasting career has spanned over theatre, television, film, publishing, carpentry and construction.
Some of Mag Ruffman's most notable work is within the realm of home improvement. She has created, produced and hosted two home improvement programs. These series include, the always entertaining A Repair to Remember and Anything I Can Do. Ruffman has also tried her hand at writing and publishing. She had a syndicated weekly column in the Toronto Star for three years fittingly titled, Tool Girl. This later lead to a do-it-yourself book How Hard Can It Be?
