Casting has been announced for Brad Fraser's Love and Human Remains, which will play a limited engagement at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater beginning July 21. (Love and Human Remains is Fraser’s 1989 play Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love except that it uses the title of the 1983 filmed version for its title.)
Directed by Clyde Baldo, performances will continue through Aug. 2.
The cast will comprise Frances Brennand Roper, Zach McCoy, Kerri Lynn Miller, Nicholas Baroudi, Paul Castro Jr., Cassandra Paras and Dan Almekinder.
Love and Human Remains, according to press notes, is "an edgy, provocative, dark-humoured drama about the intertwined lives of seven individuals. The play explores every aspect of raw human emotion and takes the audience on an emotional journey to places often hard to explore. It centres on David McMillan, a former actor/current waiter watching his twenties tick away. Together, with his book-reviewing roommate Candy, his best friend Bernie, and S/M prostitute friend Benita, David encounters a number of seductive strangers on their search for love and sex. However, the games turn ugly when it appears one of them might be a serial killer."
In a statement playwright Fraser said, “I'm very excited to see the show return to New York. Jennifer Rudolph is a mega-producer, full of passion and force, and I feel she will bring the show to a whole new level. The cast is fantastic as well!”
Jennifer Rudolph produces.
Show times will be Monday-Saturday at 7:30 PM.
