A 19 year-old Manya finds herself in a swanky Manhattan apartment with her uncle and the ever sophisticated Alan. As the scotch and conversation continue to flow, a night of secrets and seduction begins to spin out of control for young Manya. One year later the three meet again for another unforgettable evening.
Revenge is a dish best served with manicotti and red wine.
Blood Moon is a fast-paced, funny and shocking drama about the humanity sacrificed in the desire for control. The masterfully crafted script, written by the son of American theatre giant Elia Kazan, is filled with wit, charm, and humour in equal parts with graphic horror.
“…if you’re willing to take a chance on something completely different, Blood Moon will not disappoint.” – Edinburgh press (Edinburgh, 2011)
Starfish Productions is a fusion company that seeks to make a difference in the community by creating spaces for art and science to work together in to address issues around sexual health and/or homelessness. We are thrilled to bring back Blood Moon for a Toronto debut after having an exciting run at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
“The stand-out performance was the lead however, Manya’s pain and anger in the second act were undeniable.” - Edinburgh press (on Blood Moon, Edinburgh 2011)
