The year is 1939 and Suzy and Peter, two Brits, are living in Provence, France as the world prepares to go to war. Disturbing secrets surface and shatter their lives.
CAST: (Ages indicate the age the character should appear to be. All will have English Accents. )
JOSEF: 40-60’s seemingly simple minded, eccentric, indication of pain about him
SUZY: 20’s fresh-faced, innocent, vulnerable quality
PETER: 30-45 cautious, alert, watchful, bursts of rage
FREDERICK/ARNOLD: 40’s (identical twins) smooth talker, cultivated, patronising to menacing, violent and aggressive
MIRIAM: 40’s in-charge, direct manner, all business
PREPARATION: If the director does not know your work, please prepare a short monologue. Please read the play before auditioning - there will also be readings from the script.
