TRYING tells the story of Francis Biddle, the Attorney General under FDR who when struggling to write his memoirs is introduced to a very smart, strong-willed, young woman from the Canadian Prairies. A very witty and touching story unfolds which is hailed by critics all over the world as a triumph of Canadian theatre.
We are thrilled to have the very talented Walter Learning playing Francis Biddle. Walter is a very respected actor, writer and director who founded Theatre New Brunswick, was the head of the theatre section for The Canada Council for the Arts, was Artistic Director at The Vancouver Playhouse and The Charlottetown Festival, and guest directed at many theatres including The Stratford Festival.
Sarah Schorr will be played by Jennifer Toulmin who among her other acting roles played the role of Anne in Anne of Green Gables at The Charlottetown Festival for 5 years, and Sophie in Mamma Mia (US and Toronto tours).
