LOCATION
All auditions, call backs, rehearsals and performances will be at the Village Playhouse, 2190 Bloor St. West (around the corner from Runnymede subway station). Some pre-rehearsal workshops may take place at a downtown location.
THE PLAY
William Bloor, a "foxfinder", arrives at Sam and Judith Covey's farm to investigate a suspected contamination. As his investigations proceed, the events that follow change the course of all their lives - forever.
CHARACTERS
William Bloor: a foxfinder, thin, meticulous, methodical, follows rules, nineteen
Samuel Covey: a farmer, proud, determined, gruff, late thirties
Judith Covey: his wife, attractive, hard working, responsible, early thirties
Sarah Box: a neighbour, a farmer's wife, smart, rebellious, early thirties
PREPARATION
Please prepare a short (2-3) minute dramatic monologue, and be familiar with the play as you will do cold readings from the script. If you are able to do a British accent, please come prepared to demonstrate it. A hardcopy of the script will be available at the desk of the 5th floor of The Toronto Reference Library. A script is available upon request.
DETAILS
Pre-rehearsal mandatory workshops (movement and in-depth character exploration) will run late-November to mid-December 2015
* Regular rehearsals will be from January(Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:30-9:30pm and Sundays 1:00-4:00pm).
* Must be available every night of tech week: February 21 - 25, 2016.
* Performance Dates: February 26 - March 19, 2016.
Note: Workshop and rehearsal dates and/or times may be reconsidered.
