Directed by Evany Rosen (Picnicface, Space Janitors), The Pageant is a wildly irreverent celebration of the best - and worst - parts of the holiday season, all gift-wrapped up in a package that pays homage to the rich tradition of "very special" sitcom episodes. Each show focuses on a different family as they celebrate a completely made-up holiday and try to find true meaning of the (fictional) season. Inspired by audience suggestion, The Pageant is the perfect non-denominational winter comedy hit for friends and family. The show culminates in the classic show-within-a-show device: the staging of a holiday pageant that pulls the whole motley cast of characters together.
Starring an amazing cast of Toronto's best improvisers, including Aurora Browne (Baroness Von Sketch Show), Alistair Forbes (Bonspeil!), Tess Degenstein (1000 Island Playhouse), Craig Anderson (TO, I Love You), Colin Munch (The PATH), Kayla Lorette (The Sufferettes), Miguel Rivas (Rapp Battlez), and Andy Hull (Space Janitors).
