Hamilton, ON, November 12, 2015 – Theatre Aquarius celebrates the season with a timeless holiday classic live on stage as we present It’s a Wonderful Life!
Required holiday viewing for families around the world It’s a Wonderful Life is one of the most beloved holiday stories of all time, now reimagined as an all-new stage musical. The heartwarming story of George Bailey and the profound difference that one ordinary man can make in the lives of many, It’s a Wonderful Life is a holiday experience built to share with family and friends.
Seamlessly incorporating the songs of the greatest songwriters of the period, including George and Ira Gershwin, Ivor Novello, Kurt Weill and more, It’s a Wonderful Life is a faithful adaptation of the holiday classic adapted for the stage by Peter Jorgensen with musical arrangements by Nico Rhodes.
It’s a Wonderful Life is directed by Robb Paterson with Music Director Craig Fair and Choreographer Stephanie Graham. David Leyshon stars as George with Amanda Struthmann as Mary, and also features Shannon Currie, Sean Hauk, Larry Mannell, Judy Marshak, Stephen Patterson, Nicholas Rice, Brad Rudy Andrew Stelmack, Rob Torr, Robin Ward and Aiden Glenn. The role of Zuzu will be shared between Hannah Thompson and Lauren Thompson (no relation). The design team includes Patrick Clark (sets and costumes) Kevin Fraser (lights) and Anna-Maria Steger (sound). Rob Middleton is the Stage Manager.
It’s a Wonderful Life will run until from December 2 - 27, 2015. Opening Night is December 4 at 7pm.
