ONTARIO (February 25, 2014) – Hundreds of Ontario’s Festival and Event industry professionals and education leaders will gather in Niagara Falls for the 28th Annual Festival & Events Ontario (FEO) Conference on March 4-6, 2015. The Conference will kick off Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and run through to Friday 10:30 p.m. at the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel and Conference Centre located at 5875 Falls Avenue, Niagara Falls. The 2 daylong event welcomes those wanting to learn more about industry trends, collaborate with colleagues, share ideas, celebrate successes, and connect with industry leaders, performers and exhibitors. FEO education, which focuses on revenue generation strategies, technology innovation, social media, marketing and event management, is the backbone discipline of Ontario’s Festival and Event economic impact.
The FEO Let the Inspiration Flow Conference will include 26 thought-provoking education sessions, 2 pre-Conference full-day workshops, an opening and closing keynote address, an exhibitor marketplace, showcase performances and an Awards Gala Dinner. The Honourable Michael Coteau, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport will attend the Awards Gala Dinner, taking place on Friday, March 6th and will address attendees at approximately 7:15p.m.. The Conference offers a unique and exciting opportunity to network with some of the Ontario’s top professionals, learn best practices, as well as strategies to engage local, regional, provincial and international communities.
“The Conference is an intersection for professionals and leaders to form partnerships and build upon programs they can implement in their upcoming festivals and events,” said Debbie Mann, Interim Executive Director of Festivals & Events Ontario. “It offers a platform to engage new collaborators and links content providers with festivals throughout Ontario, which translates into a stronger network and a more impactful Conference.”

The Conference begins with a Welcome Reception at 7:30 p.m. (Pre-Conference education workshops begins at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday). Programming begins at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday and continues until Friday 10:30 p.m. The Conference opening keynote presentation beginning at 8:30 a.m. and will feature Chip Conley, Founder of Fest300 (CA, USA) inspiring the industry to rediscover the magic and mystery of the world by attending festivals. Closing keynote presentation with Brent Barootes, Founding Partner of Sponsorship Specialist – Partnership Group (Calgary, AB) will begin Friday at 3:30 p.m. who will share trending information on corporate sponsorship in Canada and how it affects the festival and event industry in Ontario.
