I am writing to you to tell you about a wonderful one-woman play we will be presenting on April 11th. I saw Confessions of a Fairy's Daughter last summer and could not get it out of my mind. Alison Wearing's very personal story speaks to family, love and acceptance in a most touching and often comedic way. I am delighted to have Ms. Wearing come to Collingwood. She is an incredible writer and performer!
In addition to our regular tickets, we will once again be offering Red Carpet Tickets which will include a wonderful reception at The Tremont Cafe following this very special performance. Alison Wearing will do a brief Q & A and perhaps a reading and be on hand for some great conversation. She is a fascinating woman (please visit our website for her bio). Her book will also be available for sale at the reception where you can have it autographed , and of course you will be wined and dined with the delicious attributes of The Tremont! Remember, Red Carpet tickets are partially a fund raiser for us so they do include a tax receipt.
Following the day of the play, this award winning writer will offer her 2 hour memoir writing workshop in Collingwood for only $25. Open to all, you can learn more about this on our website www.theatrecollingwood.ca. I have already signed up myself!
Tickets are on sale now and will sell fast. Please don't wait to get yours. Also, if you wish to purchase in person, come see us in our new Box Office at 115 Hurontario Street - Suite 104 (the back entrance of The Arlington Building)
