Following on the heels of last year’s successful production of Giurgis’ Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train. Director David Lafontaine again turns his hand into shaping the fiery New York playwright’s dense language into a trademark Unit 102 experience. Guirgis continues his investigation into our relationship of God, religion, and redemption and, once again, he does it with his characteristic verbal dexterity and an ear for the rhythms of the street. History’s most notorious turncoat is brought to trial amidst a rogue’s gallery of colourful characters and the result is a darkly humorous tale, both profound and profane.
