FULL SCHEDULE
Wednesday, September 9
8PM All-star Alumni Micetro
It’s the “Survivor” of improv! Only one improviser is left standing in this friendly, competitive showdown directed by Gavin Williams and featuring Bad Dog senior performers & alumni including: Adam Cawley, Jason DeRosse, Alice Moran, Paloma Nuñez, Amy Zuch & Dan Hershfield.
9:30PM Hot Lawyers in Love
Theatre co-founder Ralph MacLeod returns to direct this Bad Dog favourite: a steamy live, improvised soap opera teeming with briefs, legal & otherwise. Starring: Alastair Forbes, Lisa Merchant, Kerry Griffin, Scott Goldman, Nadine Djoury & more.
Thursday, September 10
8PM IMPROVATRON 3000
IMPROVATRON 3000 features monologists, inspired by audience suggestions, telling personal, off-the-cuff (and often revealing!) stories from their lives. These true-to-life tales become the fodder and inspiration for improv scenes created by a talented cast of actors. Bad Dog is excited to remount our take on this classic story-driven improv format with a cast of award-winning veteran comedians including: Carmine Lucarelli, Jan Caruana, Rob Baker, Gene Abella, Dave Pearce & Alex Hatz.
9:30PM 3, 2, 1…
A explosive free-form improv jam based on a single suggestion from the audience, 3, 2, 1... has scenes broken up by the lights, which will mercilessly snap down in either 3 minutes, 2 minutes, or 1 minute. The cast performs for 45 minutes, never knowing when each scene will end. Featuring emerging Bad Dog favourites: Ify Chiwetelu, Christian Smith, Andrew Bushell, Kaleb Brown, Rosie Dempsey, Lisa Amerongen & Gordon Neill.
Friday, September 11
8PM Supertroupes Showcase Show
Featuring Bonspeil (Alastair Forbes & Rob Baker), Slap Happy (Kerry Griffin, Dave Pearce & Sandy Jobin-Bevans) and The Chumps (Gary Pearson, Lisa Merchant, Dave Healey) with your host Marcel St. Pierre
9:30PM Anything But Improv
Sure, they can make stuff up on the spot, but what else? Discover the hidden talents of your favourite performers as they are invited to showcase anything but improv. Curated by Bad Dog co-founder Kerry Griffin & featuring: Rob Norman, Jan Caruana, Marcel St. Pierre, Jane Luk, Leslie Seiler, Gord Oxley, Nicole Passmore, Devon Hyland, Jess Bryson, Ian Keeling & Allana Reoch
Saturday, September 12
7PM The Early Match
See the future stars of unscripted comedy today at the Early Match: the perfect warm-up for our main event at 8pm. Or, come early and try it yourself at our 6pm drop-in workshop!
8PM All-star Alumni Theatresports
Two teams of all-star improvisers go head to head in Bad Dog’s flagship show. A fast-paced, high-energy battle for your love and laughter, Theatresports is Toronto’s longest-running unscripted comedy show, still selling out houses and delighting audiences after 33 years. Our Homecoming Week match-up will feature Bad Dog alumni including: Kerry Griffin, Allie Price, Leslie Seiler, Ian MacIntyre, Kevin Matviw, Lindsay Grant, Dale Wells, Matt McCready & Ken Hall.
9:30PM FILTHY
Toronto’s raunchiest improvisers have one no-holds-barred hour to corrupt their innocent alumni guest star. Can they do it? 18+ (sure to offend)
11PM The Late, Late Horror Show
A late-night staple from Bad Dog’s days on the Danforth, director Sean Browning’s Late, Late Horror Show is an unscripted homage to the best, worst and goriest tropes of classic B-movies. The funniest fright-fest in town!
