OPENING NIGHT – Folk, reggae, blues and jazz captivate in this all-woman a cappella production of OBEAH OPERA by Nicole Brooks, a bold and daring opera about the original Salem witch-hunt of the 17th Century. Obeah Opera runs until August 8 at Young Centre for the Performing Arts.

A visual exploration of large-scale installations commissioned by Planet IndigenUS, INTERNATIONS/INTERSECTIONS looks at the adaptability and ingenuity of travel and transportation for post-colonial First Nations. The exhibit is part of the Aboriginal Pavilion open everyday at 10am at Fort York National Historic Site until August 9. InterNations/InterSections.
Photographer Meaghan Ogilvie‟s REQUIEM OF WATER, a series of large-scale underwater photographs is an “act of remembrance to the spirit of water that has been forgotten.” Ethereal images with a significant message about the current state of the earth‟s clean water, the exhibition is currently on display at the Allen Lambert Galleria at Brookfield Place, 181 Bay Street, open everyday

CHALLENGE AND TRIUMPH – Smashing the previous Boston Marathon record by more than five minutes in 1907, Brantford born Six Nations long-distance runner Tom Longboat is an inspirational figure for both Aboriginal and Canadian people. CHALLENGE AND TRIUMPH is a sculpture that pays tribute to his legacy, and will be displayed at Ontario‟s Celebration Zone at Harbourfront Centre open everyday at 10am at Ontario‟s Celebration Zone until August 15. THE POWER PLANT PRESENTS FOUR COMMISSIONED PROJECTS, a collaborative project presented by The Power Plant by Toronto artists Nadia Belerique, Lili Huston-Herterich, and Laurie Kang and collectives Bik Van der Pol, Tecerunquito, and YES! Association/ Föreningen JA! Juxtaposing. The artists work together for the first time to investigate intrinsic playfulness and
performativity of objects and photographs in their individual artistic practices, ultimately offering temporality as an instinctual means of organizing individuals non-hierarchially. The exhibition opens everyday at 10am at The Power Plant Contemporary Gallery until August 15. The Power Plant

Six exemplary photographers from six countries representing the Pan Americas exhibit some of their of most compelling work in WATER’S EDGE, curated by No. 9 Contemporary Art & the Environment. A fascinating look at water as a precious resource, and the fine balance between human-civilization, land, and water. The exhibition will be held at Union Station Great Hall and Pearson International Airport until August 15 at Union Station and Toronto International Airport. Water‟s Edge.
YOUNG WORLD FACES OF PAN AM - Robert Young‟s large-scale photographic interpretation of the 41 participating countries takes originality to a whole new level. 41 flags are painted on 41 women, who live in Toronto and have family background in the country whose flag they represent. The exhibit is held at Commerce Court West, and runs until August 15.

OPENING NIGHT - Prestigious and award winning Brazilian choreographer Deborah Colker combines the competitive edge of sport, the traditional style of ballet, the freedom of modern dance and the daredevilry of circus in this electrifying performance. MIX starts at 8pm at the St. Lawrence
