Buddies Cabaret Artist-in-Residence Ryan G. Hinds presents a musical exploration of John Kander and Fred Ebb: the legendary songwriters behind Chicago, Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Funny Lady, Zorba, The Visit, New York New York, and more, featuring musical director Mark Selby on piano, Jeff Deegan on bass and Julian “Fatsound” Clarke on drums. Digging deep into their catalogue, Hinds will explore their lesser-known canon, reveal saucy and surprising tidbits, and perform new arrangements of a few of their better-known songs.
After premiering to a packed house and standing O at Buddies in December 2014, #KanderAndEbb returns to Buddies and will then visit Montreal’s Mainline Theatre and New York City’s famed venue Don’t Tell Mama, where Hinds will make his New York cabaret debut.
