Stage Door News
Fall is a time for new beginnings - it's back to school, our fiction families return to television, we all crave new pencils and crisp jeans. Even as the world is preparing for sleep, our minds turn to starting fresh - echoes from the time when the shift from summer to autumn truly meant something.
Now, doesn't it sound like a great time to get your latest creation into SpringWorks? Still flying high from the success of last season, we are now accepting submissions for our 2016 festival. Dance, music, poetry, puppetry, theatre, visual art...we have a place for all of it and we can't wait to see what you've been working on!
So, pull out those ideas, tell your creative friends and neighbours. It's time to share your personal brand of brilliance with the world.
SpringWorks 2016 Application Forms
SpringWorks 2016 runs from May 12-22, 2016. There is a $40 (+hst) Reader's Fee to be considered. Upon acceptance, there is a $150 (+hst) Holding Fee that is returned to you after the Festival. Participants are selected by a jury of professional performers, writers, educators, and arts practitioners. Everything else you need to know, you'll find on our website.
Main Stage - In a variety of found venues throughout Stratford, we want to see all types of performances, in all stages of development.
Puppet Festival - May 21-22, 2016. A family friendly weekend filled with puppets and play, with fun for all ages. We want to fill our stages with all kinds of puppetry.
Visual Art - Exhibit your work throughout the Festival. We'd love to see works in all mediums.
Deadline for submissions: November 1, 2015
