Joseph Patrick & Maurice Galpern are thrilled to announce four upcoming shows at The Lower Ossington Theatre (The LOT): a remount of the classic Disney tale, THE LITTLE MERMAID; a remount of the ever-popular hit AVENUE Q; a stage version of the classic film, with a radio twist, IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY; and SISTER ACT, a show about love, sisterhood, and singing nuns, based on the hit film . In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, a beautiful young mermaid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. Based on the classic Disney animated feature, Disney’s The Little Mermaid is a splashy musical extravaganza. Prepare to be swept away by all the songs you remember from the film by Oscar- winning Disney tunesmith Alan Menken, with lyrics by Howard Ashman, additional lyrics by Glenn Slater, and a book by Doug Wright.

Avenue Q tells the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who moves to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account. The only apartment he can afford is way out on Avenue Q, where everyone’s looking for the same things he is: a decent job, a stable relationship, and a "purpose." This was the 2004 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, with music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, and book by Jeff Whitty. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
