TORONTO, ON (March 15, 2016) – The 38th edition of Toronto Storytelling Festival has returned to Harbourfront Centre for a weekend full of worldly stories, April 9–10, co-produced with Storytelling Toronto and generously supported by TD Bank Group. This two day event, which is part of a larger 10-day festival, will feature Liars’ Contests and remixed fairytales, as well as some of the world’s finest storytellers, from First Nations elders to Afro-Canadian Anansi tellers.
Diana Webley, Harbourfront Centre’s Senior Artistic Associate, explains, “This year’s Toronto Storytelling Festival has a story from all corners of the earth. We are featuring storytellers from Haiti to England and Egypt to France. We have stories shared in Mandarin, French, Hindi, Creole, Swahili and many other languages. There is truly a story for everyone at Toronto Storytelling Festival.”
