General Director Guillermo Silva-Marin has just announced a major grant from the Egyptian Tourist Office in support of the upcoming premiere of Togni and Singer opera ISIS AND OSIRIS, Gods of Egypt.
“We are absolutely thrilled!” said Silva-Marin. “This is a perfect example of creative support for the arts that crosses borders and cultures.” The Egyptian Ambassador to Canada, His Excellency Ambassador Moataz Mounir Moharram Zahran of the Arab Republic of Egypt has confirmed that he and his party will attend the World Premiere on April 1, 2016. The performance will be followed by a reception for donors and special guests.

World premiere of a new opera created by Canadian composer and librettist.
An opera on one of the most enigmatic and controversial love affairs in all mythology. Transformation, redemption and the triumph of good over evil are brought forth with melody and words of transcendent beauty.
Inspired by the most exalted myth of ancient Egypt's primordial history, the opera Isis and Osiris tells the story of the first gods who came to live among humanity. According to the myth, Isis and Osiris founded Egyptian civilization.
