This April, disability arts take centre stage at Harbourfront Centre in a special one-night only cabaret event. Featuring cutting-edge talent from Canada and the United Kingdom, Cripping the Stage showcases music, performance and stand-up comedy in a relaxed environment.
Co-hosted by Alex Bulmer (Invisible Flash, Winston Churchill Fellow) and Mat Fraser (American Horror Story), the event celebrates Cripping the Arts, a three-day symposium aimed at exploring disability arts, access, aesthetics, and justice, as well as advancing Deaf and Disability Arts in Canada and enlivening the vibrancy of Canadian culture.
Don't miss special performances by: Alex Bulmer (CA/UK), Liz Carr (UK), Laurence Clark (UK), Mat Fraser (UK), masti khor (CA), The Mighty Rhino (CA), jes sachse (CA) and Lynx Sainte-Marie (CA).
Please note this event offers ASL interpretation, full live audio description, and attendant care for the entire Relaxed Performance event.
Relaxed Performances are specifically designed to welcome people who will benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders, or a learning disability. We offer a relaxed attitude toward noise or movement throughout the performance.
