Winner of numerous awards and hailed as one of America’s most cherished plays, Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs is on stage at the Drayton Festival Theatre from June 15 to July 2.
Set in the Brighton Beach section of Brooklyn, New York in September 1937, this coming-of-age comedy tells the story of the Jerome family through the eyes of its narrator, 15-year old Eugene Morris Jerome. There’s liver for dinner, holes in his shoes and a war on the horizon, but Eugene would rather think about baseball and girls. Surrounded by his overworked parents, his wayward brother and a houseful of relatives always in the way, Eugene navigates the minefield of adolescence in a funny and touching way that reminds us that family is the one constant in the crazy journey of life.
Brighton Beach Memoirs stars Anna Bartlam, Susie Burnett, Ellen Denny, Thomas Duplessie, Alex Furber, Gabrielle Jones, Victor A. Young and is directed by Marti Maraden.
Tickets are $44.00 for adults; $26.00 for youth under 20 years of age.
Groups of 20 or more are $36.00. HST is applicable to all ticket prices.
