#VikingAlbertaSFT: The Storefront Theatre cracks open its season with an exciting East meets West collaboration with Vancouver’s Blood Pact Theatre. The world premiere of Kill Your Parents in Viking, Alberta , is a dark comedy that turns the Canadian kitchen sink drama upside down with a jagged punked out millennial twist. This exciting cross country partnership promises to give Toronto a taste of how Indie is done on the West Coast.
#NumbersGameSFT: For six weeks starting September 29th the Storefront will present a serial of unprecedented scale: fourteen actors, six writers, two showrunners, and a creative team of an additional fifteen artists. The
Numbers Game follows the story of Queenie St. Clair, a fiery madame from
Martinique forced to defend Harlem's booming "numbers game" racket against the brutal invasion of sociopathic gangster, Dutch Schultz. Each week audiences can pop on down to the Storefront Speakeasy for a new episode, live music, bootleg cocktails, and the previous week’s installment.
Showrunners: Emma Mackenzie Hillier, James Schultz, and playwrights: Beau Dixon, Claire Burns, Meghan Swaby , and Bahia Watson are set to take you deep into the belly of the Harlem beast.
