This fall, Bad Dog is celebrating the back-to-school season by reuniting some of the theatre’s best & brightest alumni - and teaming them up with some of the city’s most exciting emerging talent - for a five nights packed with classic unscripted comedy shows & formats as part of our second annual Bad Dog Homecoming Week.
The week’s highlights include: performances from seminal troupes and performers from the Toronto improv scene including Rob Baker, Jane Luk and Marcel St. Pierre, an Anything-But-Improv Talent Show extravaganza featuring Mark Little, Monica Heisey, and Laura Barrett (which will raise funds for our Youth Mentorship Program) and appearances by over 50 favourite improvisers spanning Bad Dog’s 34-year history. We also take time this week to celebrate critically acclaimed improviser, Jan Caruana, for her contributions to the Bad Dog community and Toronto comedy scene with this year’s Mary Haynes Award.

We take you through Bad Dog's performance history with sets from current players all the way back to alumni. A showcase of Bad Dog improvisers, teamed up by the years they first performed on the Bad Dog stage.
9:30PM | Pad Set
A Bad Dog favourite: in the 1950's, improv casts wrote down audience suggestions before an intermission and came back to perform a set based on those suggestions. With Pad Set we cut out the planning. Pad Set is an entirely audience-driven improv assault to the senses, directed by James Gangl.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8
8PM | Mary Haynes Award Show
Every year Bad Dog Theatre awards one member of the community with the Mary Haynes Award. This week we celebrate Jan Caruana for her tireless commitment to Bad Dog Theatre and the Toronto improv scene. With special guests Rob Baker, Marcel St. Pierre, Sarah Buski, Kerry Griffin, Darryl Dinn, Alastair Forbes and more!
9:30PM | #TTBT
A Troupe Throwback Thursday showcase of favourite combos of improvisers from throughout Bad Dog's history. Groups from Bad Dog's past and present represent some of Canada's top comedic talent - lucky for us we get to see them in one night!
