The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is based on the classic fantasy by C.S. Lewis. When it opened in June, the Toronto Star labelled it “a hit,” describing it as an “otherworldly adventure” and a “magical production.” It’s “pretty much a non-stop stage effects dazzler,” enthused The London Free Press. “This is children’s theatre but there is plenty to like for adults too,” said Postmedia.
Bunny was enthusiastically received at its world première last weekend. In its 4/4 star review, the Toronto Star said: “This story of desire, morality and connection is hard not to fall in love with.” Of Maev Beaty’s performance in the title role, the National Post said: “Every word, every wince, every nervous smile, is perfectly timed, perfectly true: wit in the service of feeling.” Hers is “a highly physical and very funny performance,” said The Globe and Mail.
