M-1 Productions is proud to announce that, after critically acclaimed runs at the Detroit Public Theatre and the Winnipeg and Orlando Fringe Festivals, Eric Gutman’s hit one man show, “From Broadway to Obscurity”, will be coming to the Toronto Centre for the Arts as part of the Cabaret Soiree series, produced by Merle Garbe.
Told through show stopping numbers, and amazing behind the scenes stories from one of the most popular Broadway musicals in history, From Broadway To Obscurity tells the beautiful, funny, and heartwarming true tale of one mans journey to realize his true dream.
After 1,200 performances with the Tony and Grammy winning musical Jersey Boys, and millions of tickets sold across the country, Eric Gutman had the Broadway role he had always dreamed of. And then he just walked away. From Broadway To Obscurity is the story of why.
This terrific double bill also features a fun song set by the Cabaret Soiree Kit Kat Girls -- Kristi Woods, Olivia Jon, Jill Leger, Isla Parekh and Emily Roitman.

Eric Gutman is a Michigan born actor who spent three years in the Tony and Grammy Award- winning sensation, Jersey Boys. In his run with this extraordinary show, Eric performed close to 1,200 shows in six different roles (including three of the Four Seasons) as well as one of the few actors to play live instruments on stage. Eric has also been a company member for over twenty years with the Off-Broadway and touring companies of Forbidden Broadway and Forbidden Hollywood where he has played in over 100 different theatres across the Country as well as a featured performer with the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
