ACT II STUDIO a theatre program and creative drama centre for adults 50+ at the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Studies at Ryerson University, is pleased to present Shakespeare’s KING JOHN.
Directed by Artistic Director Vrenia Ivonoffski and designed by Alta-Louise Doyle, the play is set in an edgy post-apocalyptic world and examines the game of power politics. It offers a fascinating glimpse into political upheaval in a way that can only be compared to today’s current news stories of betrayal, shattered alliances and headstrong rulers.
Performance dates are Thursday, February 23 at 7:00pm; Friday, February 24 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, and Saturday, February 25 at 4:00 pm in the Ryerson Student Theatre at 345 Yonge Street (enter on Yonge Street just north of Gould).
Tickets are $20 for General Admission; to purchase online, please visit www.act2studio.ca. Tickets may also be purchased at the ACT II STUDIO office, Ryerson University, 297 Victoria Street, Room 306, Toronto (call ahead 416-979-5000 Ext. 6297 for office hours) or at the door on day of performance, subject to availability (cheque or cash only).
